DisplayWord is designed around how real services run — built by someone who has sat at the operator's computer himself.
In the Team edition the service runs from three devices. During worship the screens are driven by the leader's tablet; when the sermon starts, Hall and Speaker pass to the preacher's tablet, while the Stage stays with the leader. Control follows the flow of the service and can be switched at any moment. Pinpoint output to a chosen screen is done from the operator's computer — the tablets keep a deliberately simple interface, shaped for each role.
Songs are stored with chords positioned above the lyrics. The worship leader decides the key — DisplayWord transposes everything in real time. Mid-song modulation is a single + or − button.

Special blocks are short captions sent to the screens without interrupting the service: "Vocals only", "Repeat", "Softer". Which screens a caption goes to and how long it stays is set on the block itself — you can show it only to the musicians on stage.
